15 March 2021 – DDB Group Philippines, a leading integrated marketing communications and services network, looks to further strengthen its advocacy on gender equality in the workplace by becoming the first advertising group to become a member of the Philippine Business Coalition for Women Empowerment (PBCWE).

PBCWE Co-Chair Ma. Aurora “Boots” Geotina-Garcia says the integrated agency group is a valuable addition to the business coalition as it can help promote the organization’s advocacy.

“We are glad to have DDB Group Philippines join our ranks. It is an organization that values women and advocates gender equality. We look forward to working with them to further build a business landscape characterized by equality and more empowered women,” said Garcia.

Launched in March 2017 through a partnership between the Philippine Women’s Economic Network, Inc. (PhilWEN) and Investing in Women (IW), PBCWE is made up of influential businesses who advocate gender equality in their workplaces and aim to influence others to become better employers of women.

DDB Group Philippines Chief Culture Officer Anna Chua-Norbert said that as an organization that believes in the high ideals of gender equality, diversity and inclusion, the integrated agency group is still a work in progress.

“We want to keep growing towards becoming a better employer of women, and people of all gender identities for that matter, and to be able to do our part in inspiring positive changes towards gender equality and women empowerment. Being part of the Philippine Business Coalition for Women Empowerment will help us bring our workplace advocacy to the next level,” said Chua-Norbert.

Chua-Norbert leads DDB Group Philippines’ talent management and corporate communication department dubbed The Culture Hub, tasked to help employees achieve their utmost potential through DDB’s creativity-inducing culture of freedom, anchored on the principles of “People First” and “Talent Has No Gender.” The Culture Hub also provides holistic health programs and training opportunities, and practices strategic communication that altogether inspire and motivate employees.

DDB Group Philippines’s unwavering dedication to its workplace principles is key to its unique high-performing culture, winning awards in both creativity and people management.

Amidst the pandemic, DDB Group won awards that serve as affirmations of the values that the group upholds. Chua-Norbert was named “Diversity Champion” at Campaign Asia-Pacific’s Women Leading Change Awards 2020, while the integrated agency group achieved two-peat as “Southeast Asia Best Culture” Silver awardee from the 2020 Campaign Asia-Pacific Agency of the Year Awards. DDB Group was also named “Diversity Company of the Year” in the 2020 Asia CEO – Circle of Excellence Awards.
