12 August 2021 – FactSet Philippines, Inc. joins the Philippine Business Coalition for Women Empowerment (PBCWE) as its newest member company. FactSet is a global provider of integrated financial information, analytical applications, and industry-leading service that provides over 155,000 investment professionals with financial data and analytic tools.
FactSet’s membership further strengthens its broader Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts and its commitment to workplace gender equity and economic empowerment. These efforts include workforce training on unconscious bias, fostering diverse recruitment and retention efforts, monitoring and reporting progress, and the creation of a Global DEI Council. FactSet has also created numerous company-sponsored and employee-led communities called Business Resource Groups (BRGs). Each BRG focuses on a specific dimension of diversity and is guided by FactSet’s core value of inclusion.
“FactSet’s Manila Women’s BRG continues its important work by joining the PBCWE,” said Rachel Stern, EVP, Chief Legal Officer and Global Head of Strategic Resources, and the Executive Sponsor of FactSet’s Women’s BRG. “I am proud that we have aligned with a powerful organization that champions issues critical to women in business and at work, including closing the gender pay gap and promoting women into leadership positions. At FactSet, our management team in Manila reflects our dedication to developing strong leaders and driving improved equity across the organization.”
PBCWE was established in 2017 as an inaugural project of the Philippine Women’s Economic Network (PhilWEN), in partnership with Investing in Women (IW), an initiative of the Australian Government. As the newest member of PBCWE, FactSet joins 15 current member companies in committing to achieve organizational change through evidence-based strategies, creating knowledge on best practices in the workplace, communicating the benefits of empowering women in the workforce, and institutionalizing policies based on best practices.
“As PBCWE increases its membership base, we are proud to have a multi-industry Business Coalition that recognizes the need to advance gender equality in the workplace through responsive and innovative policies and programs. One approach is to harness the power of gender-disaggregated data to determine how companies stand in the advocacy. We are glad to have FactSet Philippines join our roster of members who demonstrate visible commitment through its very own Women’s Business Resource Group”, said PhilWEN Chairperson and PBCWE Co-Chairperson Ma. Aurora “Boots” D. Geotina-Garcia.
